team. I really like the game of soccer and I enjoy watching and supporting my brother when he plays sports. All this to say, I am not sure how, or why for that matter, I made the statement (see Katie's story) that I did. Because Katie is right I do not like public speaking. Looking back over the course of time that she and I had interacted; I can understand why I said it, but I am thinking that the Holy Spirit was speaking for me.

Some of you may know that I am not much for sports, whether it is playing or watching, but I like to support my brother when he does. As Katie mentioned in her version, she played on the Church Softball team, and I was the book keeper for the team. I was the book keeper in probably all possible ways. I recorded the events of play, managed money for the team, & took bets from those in the stands on who was going to wi . . . okay I did not do that nor would I condone someone who did. We were out there for fellowship with each other and other local

churches.

The Holy Spirit was still working on me during these times too. I noticed that while Katie was not the best player on the team, she had a real heart and soul for the real purpose behind playing the game - fellowship. She would be encouraging players on both sides; lifting up our team when we were behind, which was often; and doing her best no matter where she played. It was then that I started watching her more closely. I was seeing Jesus in everything that she did. God made her a person who was sensitive to the needs of others. Whether that was just a hug, a few dollars here or there, or travelling around the globe to help others in need. That just was not me. I was very family focused, and while being family focused was a great start, God was calling me out to be more than that.

That fall, the Garber House Church had become so large that we were having a hard time for each
