but my response now was more along the line of: "God, are you sure?" About the same time that we branched I started working for Matthew Garber's website. ILoveAltoona.com. I was responsible for adding events to the event calendar and eventually took over as full time website manager. At some point I could not maintain working on all of the events and keeping up my additional responsibilities as website manager, and the Garbers brought Katie on to help me. Now that I think back on it isn't interesting how God sent Katie to help me. Even then should was to be my helpmate. Being somewhat more savvy in HTML coding I offered to help Katie learn how to code the events that were to be uploaded to the site. I do remember getting the Pizza from Mama Randazzo's, and yes my sister Erin was there, but I would hardly call it chaperoning. As 2007 progressed, ILoveAltoona.com grew |
and then leveled off, but we had not generated sufficient monies to sustain a full time Website Manager and a part time Event Coordinator, I assumed both roles again and moved to part time status. Finances continued to stay about the same and early in 2008 I went to occasional status with ILoveAltoona.com. Our House Church fellowship about the same time started talking about (I will borrow Katie's coined term) grafting one of the branched House Churches back into our group. We were excited and nervous at the same time. It brought friends that we missed back into our weekly fellowship, but would it also take the intimacy out of our group? That would be a lot of people to feed. God works wonders, and the transition was very smooth. Our House Church grew from 4 adult and 3 children attendees to 10 adults and eventually 7 children. Late that spring, Katie told our group that she had decided that she was going to join a group from State College, Pennsylvania who were going |
