I guess the better story is how we started dating, because I don't have a clear memory of how we met. It was during the summer that I worked in Altoona while in college (2003). We met at housechurch, in the Rices' front living room on Notre Dame Avenue. I wasn't interested in him then. I just didn't pay much attention to him that summer. Over the next couple of years, when I would come back for a visit, I'd see him at church every once in a while, and say hello. I moved to Altoona (it turns out permanently) after graduation in 2005, and we ended up in the same housechurch again. Actually, that was probably a God-thing, so it's worth sharing. While I was still in school, the Muller HC branched into the Muller group and the Garber group. However, I still received emails from the Muller HC when

they would organize gatherings and meals and such, so I thought they included me in the branch and that I was assigned to the Muller HC. So, my first Thursday in Altoona, I went with Faith to the Muller HC. Of course, everyone was glad to see me, but apparently didn't know that I was part of the group.

In the meantime, the Garbers and the Rices (part of the Garber HC, which was Jason's HC) were really bummed that I didn't come to their group, and felt like it I would be such an integral part. So, Bruce, Matt, and I decided I would go to the Garber HC, and I felt such a peace about it! Looking back, I firmly believe it was the Lord initiating one of the first elements in His plan to bring us together (Jason got the first element--he'll have to tell you his side of the story), as you'll see later on. In the following February, my roommates threw me a surprise birthday at the Summit, and a lot of people from my surprise
