The Storybook Story of Kathleen Pierson and Jason Shade is not as much being written by us but being lived out by us. The Author of our story is the Great King of Kings, our Mighty Counselor, and our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. We would like to thank him for his guidance, grace, and most importantly his mercy on our lives. He is the one that has brought Katie and I together, and it is only through our focus on Him alone that our lives can continue to be entwined in a place where petty arguments destroy families.

Katie and I would not have come as far as we have without the love and support of family -- both in our individual families and our combined church family. Thank you for ears we could bend; words of wisdom, encouragement, and love that you have shared; and your continued desire to

keep Christ first in your lives. You have all been such an example to us and the world we live in.

This Storybook Story pales in comparison to the Storybook Story of Christ and his Bride the Church. We both acknowledge that His love for the Bride will far exceed our ability to love the other on our own power, and everyday we want to wake up being filled with his presence and be able to look at our spouse through his eyes and not ours alone.
